I can't count how many years I've made a list of resolutions that I wanted to make for the new year. Reflection on the old year, looking forward to the future and making a fresh start.
This January marks the starting of Dave and I's fourth year together. Celebrating 3 full years together and all the achievements we've made. I'm looking forward to seeing where we will be a year from now.
I do have a few goals for this next year though. I've really been struggling with working out and I need to get better at that. I'll start off with working out 5 days a week for at least 20 min. Not including stretching or cool down. Then by Jume have it to 6 days and next December doing something at least everyday.
I want to read more. I have a list of books on a notepad that I want to finish reading. Its gradually growing lol. Some are books for pleasure, others are for enlightening myself, and others are to help make me a better person in the work place.
I want to keep up a little bit more. I've been slacking on here and with all the activities I have in the works there will be a lot to update about.
Most importantly though, I want to spend more time with Dave and the kids. I want to be able to continue re-building the relationships that I have with my siblings and my family as well as start to build good relationships with Dave's family. I want to get closer to my niece and nefew as well as Summer.

A weird weekend
This weekend was a weird one... full of just a ton of stuff. Friday was hecktic with family pictures, then work didn't exactly turn out how I wanted it to. A little kitten got stuck in a co-workers car and so I was trying to get it out, but nothing was woring, so we left it for a bit and left food out hoping the kitten woud come out on his own. Well it didn't and so with the car owner's help we got the kitty out ad I took it inside to try and warm it up. It wasn't doing very good so we called Animal Control to come get it and it ended up that I did keep it alive, but it was so sick that the officer said that they were just going to put it down. Which is sad, but still better than freezing to death. My boss was tolerant but he was a jerk about it. I don't know what he expected me to do. Let it die? Leave it outside to freeze? Grrr... made me mad.
I was so ready to go home after that, got some good sleep and ended up waking up in time just to get to Bountiful to say goodbye to Trish. Her husband had flown in to come get her and they had decided to leave early to try and beat the storm. That was sad but at least I got to say goodbye.
That evening we ended up going over to see some friends only to see their marriage further fall into turmoil. Very uncomfortable situation. With all of it I decided that I needed to go to church. So sunday I went by myself. The storm was so bad it was scary driving. I made it though and the lesson taught was a good one. I'm glad I went.
As I got home my mom text me to let me know that Great Grandma Steed had passed away. She was the last of my great grandparents. It was time though. At 91 she's had a good long life, and Grandpa has been gone for close to 10 years. So it was time.
Just a lot to deal with all at once. This week I hope goes by fast.

Stahle Family Pictures
The Army let Stephen and Brian come back for Thanksgiving before heading out to Afganistan, so the family decided to take advantage of the situation and get pictures done. Karin took some seperate ones just for us. It was an aweome day, I had a ton of fun.

Brad's 5th Birthday
We went to a small park right behind our house. First thing we should've thought about is that it is November... it gets dark out really quickly. We got to eat cake and ice cream but all the presents were opened in the dark by cell phone light. Brad loved it. Dave's parents came, Summer with Bobby and Aspen, Tazia and James showed up, Amelia brought her two boys, and Trish came with her neice. Small turn out but a pretty awesome party in my opinion. Brad loved it. I do think Gabby got a little bit jealous though.

Northern Utah Creative Group
A few talented Photographers I know decided that since Provo has a group, why can't we? The goal is that once a month, models, photographers, make up artists etc, get together and take pictures to a theme. In September we had Nightmares, which was a "Haunted Forest" and we had zombies and vampires and ghouls. I was able to attend and it was a blast. October's was a Uptown Chick theme with sports cars and November's is a club scene. Both October's and November's shoots are weekday shoots, so I didn't get to go, but here are some pictures of Sept's shoot.

Halloween 2010
It really feels like I didn't do a lot this year. There has been a lot of changes this past year and they only became more evident with Halloween. I can't say if the changes are good or bad. They just are...
I went out to this gorgeous church in Sugar House with Tiffany to take Halloween pictures that turned out amazing, and she even dressed up with me and I got to take some pictures of her too :)

But for what I was able to do this year I am thankful I got to do them. I was able to take Friday off and spend some time with Lisa before she left for California. We attended Cera Foo's ASI Halloween party. That was fun and they all looked amazing.
Then on Saturday the kids went to Grandma's so that they could trick or treat with their cousin's and Dave and I went to Red's and Casey's Halloween party. I'm thankful that Dave got out. He had a lot of fun and with all the stress lately he needed it. Amelia and Mike came and chilled for a while and though it wasn't as huge as our last 2 parties have been, it seemed perfect for the year. My only regret is that I didn't get a picture with Dave... He's not a fan of the pictures lol.
Sunday we spent watching football and relaxing. I have yet to shake whatever it is I have and spent most the day sleeping. Its been really hard lately to keep my spirits up and I've been feeling down a lot. I'm worried if I let it go that I may fall to risk of depression. I have to fight it. Take one day at a time. So even though its a tough time, and I didn't get to do a lot, I am thankful for what I did get to do. And next weekend we get to celebrate Brad's birthday. I am so excited for it!
Grandma took pictures of the kids, but Gabby got dressed up for me.
