Busy way to start a year.

Wow, crazy first few days for this new year. Monday I took Star to the vet to finally get all of her shots. Thankfully that's done with. Now its just deciding if we are going to get her fixed or not. It could cost between $200-$300 to get it done. We could go cheap and get the microchip done later, but my thing is that when I took Bynx to get it, it hurt him really bad and I don't think I could watch that again... better to have it when she's knocked out and can't feel it.

Star has this split personality it seems. When I'm home she is well behaved and loving and plays, and she listens to me. When Dave is home she pees in the house chews on things and just frustrates him. Just this last 2 days she chewed Dave's 2 pairs of shoes and got into his lincoln logs. I think she is bored. She has a ton of energy and Butch is old, so he can only do so much. So we're going to get a Kennel to keep her in if we decide to leave her in the house and we are going to finish the half shed that our ex-roomate started so that she has an outside one too. We have to check the fence and fix the few holes in it so that we can leave her out there. That would be much better than keeping her cooped up in the house all day. She's made friends with the dogs behind the house they play through the fence. Plus as she gets bigger her husky coat is going to get thicker and being outside at night or in winter would feel better to her, and staying inside during the summer. Plus in the summer we can take her to parks and she can run around there. Get her exercise.

I had 2 days at court this week. First was a hearing for Dad to try and get disability. I think it went well. The judge was nice and the information given was very informative. I honestly wish I could've asked questions to better understand what all the Medical expert was saying, but I understood for the most part. We have up to 90 days to get a verdict. The judge wanted to go over all the evidence and testimony again before making a decision. Smart guy. I like that he does that so that the people that do get it deserve it and it gives him an opportunity to weed out people that are trying to live off the system. It does suck that it takes so long, but what are you gonna do? Gotta take the good with the bad. So we'll see how that goes.

The second was for this accident I witnessed. I was headed to work on a friday and saw a semi merge into this lane and cause this girl to crash. It turns out that her dad works for CR England too! lol Small world, and I got up and told the judge strictly what I saw and heard and nothing more. None of my opinions or speculations just facts. The driver and highway patrolman didn't show. So the judge ruled that she had not done what she had been cited with and dismissed the ticket. Lucky for the girl her insurance also ruled her not at fault. I guess the driver wouldn't give them a statement and just a few things weren't adding up. So she got off easy.

Dave's been working as hard as ever. Had another car break, but this time its going to cost $4000 to fix. Crazy. I don't understand how these guys at his work can't just follow protocol. Dave's rules are that if anything happens to a car you write an incident report and file a police report so that he has something to give to the insurance company to file a claim with. Well this didn't happen and because it didn't he has to figure out $4000 for repairs instead of handing a police report over to the insurance company and paying $500. Stupid in my opinion. It amazes me how people just don't take care of themselves and file these reports. It doesn't take that long to do so.

So my next thing is Dave's and I's anniversary. 2 years.... Crazy how time flies. We'll have had Butch for 2 years and he's almost 4 years old now. Bynx is 3 years old... Crazy how much time has gone by. I am pleased to say that Dave and mine's relationship is so much stronger now and I'm pleased with how things are proceeding. I'm so excited for the day I can say I'm his wife. What an honor that will be. He is seriously the most unselfish - self giving man I know. I try and spoil him as much as I can. It astounds me when I hear how he was treated with Shannon and her family, and how much he has changed since then. He finally knows that he is an amazing dad, and that his kids love him and that his opinion matters and what he feels matters. He's an equal part in this and he's happy. He finally opened up about it a bit and it really opened my eyes. Brought a lot of understanding with it as well. I'm so thankful that he is at a place of healing that he can share that with me. He really doesn't know how amazing he is. I have no idea what we're going to do for our anniversary. Money is tight so we're limited with what we can do. I'm hoping to come up with some money to take him to dinner. Or maybe we'll just go to wendover and use the present dad gave us. Dave can get ribs and I can get my prime rib. Each take $20 to play the penny slots lol free drinks while we play. One night away would be ok... But with the issues we've been having with Star I'm not sure if that would be ok. Maybe Tazia would come and watch them... could happen. I'll have to ask.

Christmas!

Well dispite everything we've tried to do this year, its all turning out pretty good. Spent money we shouldn't have, but its Christmas and it only comes once a year. We can get it figured out.

Christmas Eve was spent grocery shopping and running presents around to family and sleeping. I had to work at 0200-0700. After work I ran home and cleaned the house. Sorta. Dave actually helped a lot and made the most delicous meal ever! While we were cleaning I got my present - a new camcorder! Its so cute and little. Still trying to get used to it.

The Biesingers (Mom, Dad, Summer, Aspen, and Bobby) and Dad all came over for lunch. Dad got here about 10 min before the kids and the Biesinger's showed up. They opened presents and we ate lunch. I think they are pretty happy. They don't want to seem to talk about Christmas with their mom very much so I hope that they are happy.

Random Ramblings on the first weekend of Heavy Snow

Its been a crazy day. Watching the snow storm from a nice warm office. Luckily the roads were clear enough on my way home.

Work itself wasn't to bad. Had one customer just have all the issues and it turned into a huge problem, when it could've been an easy fix. That of course would've been WAAAAYYYY to easy. Instead I had to fight to get the right numbers to just call the people I needed to talk to so that I could get the correct information so that I could email the customer so that we could get the issue resolved. GAH!!!! So I didn't leave work til about an hour late.

At this point i'm tired but the kids are with us this weekend and neither one is feeling very well. As I still needed to get a birthday present for Brad I decided to go to Smiths. Thank goodness for grocery wars! Prices have never been cheaper and boy is my wallet grateful! So I get Brad's present and a ton of soups and crackers, figure if everyone is sick a dinner of soup is a good way to go.

Afterward I went to Dad's, both him and Mike are sick too. Dad has swineflu and Mike is trying to ween himself off some prescription drugs. Its hard but he's doing an amazing job. I'm really proud of him. I got them some soup too and got them situated.

I started home and I have to admit if I had to choose my favorite street it would have to be Main Street in Farmington. It is so beautiful and full of trees and just.... it makes me happy.

So I get home and both kids are sick. Gabby has Croup. I guess its a cough that happens when she gets to warm. It sounds like the same chest cough I had when I had broncitis. She gave it to Brad, so now he's coughing. On top of that they are both congested, and the drainage is going down their throats. So their voices are in and out and they don't want to eat. Brad han't been eating very much and his stomach is aching. He was waking up every 20 min through the night just screaming but he wouldn't eat anything and he was running a fever. Thank goodness for motron and children's tylonol. Dave went and got a slimfast to try and help get something in his tummy and that worked! Finally Brad decided he needed the bathroom and wow did he ever! Guess he hadn't gone in a while and that on top of not eating was making his tummy hurt. So after all that he took a long nap got up and ate dinner and was running around til he got tired again. Luckily Gabby was doing pretty good and was keeping down crackers. By the time Shannon came to get them they were tired but definately doing better.

Even with the sickness though we had a little mini party for Brad. I was planning one with Dave's parents and sister and Tazia and dad, but since everyone is sick that isn't really happening. So we made the Batman cake and
I had found a card and this way cool Batman Action figure. Its as big as a barbie but its has a cool thing on his arm that when you push the button it spins and lights up as the Bat Signal. Brad loved it! We also got him some army dudes and a spider man that is supposed to expand in water. Its slow going though and still in my bathroom sink. The box said it could take up to 92 hours! Weird stuff. The kids were going in and checking in on it every half hour timing it by when their cartoons start.

I got to go see my friend Brandy. Its been..... oh almost 4 years since I've seen her and wow she looks amazing! She's always been way beautiful but just wow she was looking good. She has the cutest family and I'm so glad she has come far and is where she is. Its crazy to see just how much we have changed in 3 years and where we are. We are truly blessed. I always get a hankering for dressing up when I see her. She's always been very fashionable and classy. Ya Classy is the best word to discribe her. I don't think she does it on purpose though it just is how she is.

So now I'm sitting at home planning out my day for tomorrow... thinking I might start another blog and knowing that I need to start working out again and pay some bills tomorrow. Watching Dave sleeping on the couch and know just how much I love him and everything he does for me and helps me with. I'm so grateful to have him and know with 100 percent certainty that he is mine. With all of the struggles we have I truely am blessed and I can't be more grateful for what the universe has sent my way.
