Sick of being sick

Seems like all I've been lately is sick. Coughing, allergies, bronchitis.... ugh. It's kicking my butt. I just want to feel better. I don't know what it is, the weather, the cold, stress?

I just want to feel better, have motivation to get out and do something... ugh.

Its getting cold.... TIME FOR HOODIES!!!!

I LOVE this time of year. Its hoodie season. I worked really hard, so Dave said I can get a present. Tee hee hee. I got a few books that I'm way excited to read. First is: Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter. Then I have the World's Most Haunted Places, and The Eight Pillars of Greek Wisdom. I am reading the Abraham Lincoln one first. So far I'm liking it. The Greek one is all about how the Greek pillars are still used for ourselves. They are Humanism, Pursuit of Excellence, Practice of Moderation, Self-knowledge, Rationalism, Restless Curiosity, Love of Freedom, and Individualism. That is another one I'm looking forward to reading.

I'm excited for this weekend. From work I'm actually going out with Dave to Amelia's home for Raul and Felipe's farewell party, then Saturday I have Hailey's baby shower, then Dave promised me he'd take me to Rainbow Gardens. Sunday I'm going to church with Trish then we're stealing Christy and going to the mall in search of a new hoodie and Halloween boutique'in. I'm really excited. Hope they are open on Sundays lol.

Christy has really been worrying me lately. She's seperated from her fiance and they've decided to call it quits. So she's got her own place now and she's in counceling. I'm proud of her. Its not easy to live the life that she has lived, but she's getting there. Poor girl hasn't been out in forever! So Trish and I are going to take her out and let her have some fun.

Dave's also getting me a new windshield. Thank goodness. I need one so bad. The last car wash we did sent more cracks right into my line of vision, so this next week I'm gonna go get a new one. :) Then I just need to clean it out. Shampoo and vacuum. Make it look like new. We've decided that we should just keep the car. Yes I do want a manual but to be honest we really don't need a new one and she's been fantastic and Dave can fix anything on her. So instead we're going to just keep paying her off and get a Harley Davidson instead. That'll be fun to have.

Weber State... how I crave your knowledge.

So I have been trying so hard to get back into school. I now am accepted into Weber State... just gotta figure out how to pay for it. I want to go into business law and I'm thinking on my way to do that I'll get my bachelors in Business Accounting with legal studies. I'm going to be calling up Utah Law and asking them what they look for in their law school applicants.

Now though I need to find out how I am going to afford all this. With all the overtime I worked last year I think I'm pretty much screwed and may have to go to a community college for a year or two... I've gotta make an appointment with the finance dept and see what I can do. Even if its just one class that is something. One thing at a time. At least I'm headed in the right direction. Dave is very supportive as well. He's such a sweetheart. Willing to help me out anyway he can. Just sucks that I'm the bread winner and the one going to school. Wish he made all the money and I was poor so the government would pay for my school. Oh well. Just got to work with what I have and see what happens.

I'm official!!!

Dave's Birthday

This year he opted not to have a birthday party. Its been our goal that we try and go camping as often as we can.... and we've definately tried to do that. So this year he wanted to go camping. We left Friday morning to head up to Strawberry. Smooth until we actually got up there. Had issues finding a campsite, then ripped up the motorhome a bit, finally got it all settled in and had friends come up to enjoy it with us. The ride home was just as bad though. The motor home kept breaking down. So after a lot of cussing and yelling etc. We found out that the thing has a second fuel filter on it that had been rusted and corroded and ate the fuel pump. Luckily the fuel pump is only $20. So replacing BOTH filters and the fuel pump to hopefully get it to the Cheveron to clean out the tanks then to the garage it goes until we figure out what we are going to do with it.
Casey guy is always there!

Upgrading our lives

I went to Weber today to start the ball rolling. I've been talking about going back to school for forever now, and I've always come up with some kind of excuse as to why I can't.

However, Dave and I had a really good talk about us, and our future and where we want to be. Came down to the fact that until a change happens none of the things we want can't happen. I have the drive to go back to school and Business Law is the direction I want to head in. Make money there then go Criminal law.

So I sent an email off to the recruiting department today, hopefully will hear back by tomorrow on it and then I'll submit my application Thursday, and Monday I'll head down to Lehi to get my transcripts so that Tuesday I can take them up to Weber, from there its waiting for an acception letter.

Status's can be a teaching tool.

I was going through facebook and I came across status's where there was a suicide attempt, a divorce, death, and loss. Wow.
One's uncle lost his business, his whole life up in flames. Not easy. Then there was a death by cancer and another lost his mom. Then we have one that's depressed because she's going through a divorce and another had a talk with her now ex boyfriend and ended up in the er.
Sigh. I know I bitch about my life but I really don't have it that bad. In fact I have it really good.

Camping... Rethinking our motives.

So we decided since the motor home was finally registered and legal we wanted to go camping this weekend. Originally we were supposed to go to Fairfield to spend time with Dave's family, but as his parents are filing for bankruptcy they weren't going. Which meant we weren't either. So Dave found us a place to camp up at Smith and Moorehouse, by Kamus. Its an awesome camp spot. And its free which makes it better.

I made a rule last time we went camping that I am going up with rather than come up later. Ya right. I had to work so I had to come up this morning rather than yesterday. Ya I got lost. AGAIN. And AGAIN Star puked all over my car. Grrrrrrrrrr..... Not happy. I'm irritated.

Finally find the spot and people who weren't invited just showed up were here, wanting to use our stuff and left a mess. Finally got everyone up here and all I've done is babysit dogs. Everyone brought their dogs so fighting with Butch cause he doesn't like other males and Star just wants to go everyone and jump up on them.... Ugh annoying.

I'm tired now. Of course part of that could be I got up at 9. I don't know why I'm so annoyed though. I wanted this weekend to be nice and relaxing and its been anything but thus far. Frustrating. Poor Dave is trying so hard to make sure I have a good time I wish I was.

Some people are just not made for camping. Flip flops, make up, hair dryers..... Really? Your going camping be practical. People annoy me.... I think next time we go camping its just me, Dave, and the dogs. I'd be happy with that.

Half the point of coming up here was to go fishing...Casey caught 2 with a small hook, string, and a beer can. Then they went night fishing didn't get any. Tried again in the morning and a log gave way and Dave cut his finger, wrist, and leg up. Goodness. So they got back around 2. Amelia and mike left to go play at Rockport and we were going to walk the river but there is no way Butch could've made it so instead we came home and had steaks.

I wish I got my relaxing weekend. I feel like I didn't get any time with Dave. I did surprise him with his birthday present early and he loved it! I got him a fishing vest with his name on it. :) He loves it so much which made me happy.

I will say that I love the city Oakley and Kamus. They are beautiful! So next weekend I want to take the kids up to see the devil's slide and go fishing/swimming up there. I want pictures of the cemetery. There are some beautiful homes and farms as well.
