Smell of Fall...... and Halloween.. and Wiccans

I think its awesome that regardless of the calendar you can always tell when Mother Nature has finished summer and brought along Fall. You can smell it. The whole feeling of being outside changes. At least for me. I love the difference in the atmosphere when its fall. Could be just that the leaves are starting to die and rot. The changing colors. I love walking through the leaves and all the jackets! I love hoodies. Oh do I love hoodies. If I could wear them year round I would. Course Dave loves to have the house cold so I kinda do, lol.

I was driving to work this morning and I just got so excited with the idea that its almost Halloween. Its my favorite day of the year. Even above my birthday. I'm not entirely sure where this love of Halloween came from but I know its been there my whole life.

Since I was little I've loved Witches and Vampires and Werewolves and Ghosts.... the whole package. I used to research it and how it started and evolved. I loved reading books on it and my mom used to worry that I was possessed lol. They used to throw away my Anne Rice books. But my mom is my mom. I thought it was so funny when Twilight came out. A BYU graduate writing about vampires... tee hee hee.

I look at my life and see just how much of it relates to the Halloween theme. I've had my issues with religion for a while and the one that has appealed to me most lately is Wicca. I've always been interested in it, but it hasn't been until lately that I've actually taken the time to read about it and truly understand what it is about and about its history. Definitely an interesting religion and nothing about what I was told about it growing up is true. I see the same negative lies being instilled in Gabby and though I can't control what she is being taught, I'm trying to instill in her the idea that not all Witches are bad. I do consider myself one, but I don't want to tell her that and give myself a negative title just because I know that she'll talk to her mom and Grandma about it and I don't need them saying anything negative about me to her. Now once she is in my home for sure then I can change a few things they've taught her. Not because its wrong but I just think she should have a broader view to look at things.

I was reading about the witch trials and how people were so blind to what the true witches were that they were constantly accusing innocent people of doing "evil" and killing them. Back then if you were a woman that owned a cat they would burn you and the cat. No reason other than you owned one. I look at my little fat Bynx and think just how lucky we are to be together in this century. That was when the families that practiced true Wicca went underground and faded. It wasn't until a brave author went and lived with one of the old families and asked their permission to write about the truths did it resurface. Of course during the time it was underground horrible lies were being told about it and people believed they worshiped Satan. FYI Wiccans don't believe in Satan. They believe to give evil a name is to create it. They believe in just being. Whatever you do creates a consequence. If you do something bad you get bad things back. If you do something good you get good things back. Its a very simple concept and one that is extremely old, back to the beginning of mankind. Satanists are the ones that worship Satan, and they are not very nice people and they do a lot of bad things. Most of them end up in prison. Wiccans tend to be law abiding citizens that work hard, many have gardens, and try to be genuinely nice people. Willing to help and like making things better.
I've been trying to learn the Tarot. There is so much more to it than just flipping cards and reading from the little booklet. I went and looked into websites written by people that have been doing it for a long time. Obviously there is a ton of symbolism to tarot. Each card meaning something different. I've currently been working on the Major Arcana and after reading through several different websites they are starting to make sense. There is a lot of religion in them, holy cow. Tons of religious meaning. Now I know why they suggest you use the Rider-Waite deck when you first start. Every color or symbol on the card means something. With the different decks out there - I have the Vampire Tarot and the Victoria Francis Favole Tarot - the pictures are completely different. And the Minor Arcana's 4 suits are different. Lots to learn still though.

I've been doing so good with not spending money. Its so hard though. Since we have a house now I want to go crazy with yard and house decorations for Halloween. Dave's more worried about Christmas though. So I figured I'll wait til after Halloween and get all the good stuff on sale and then he can go crazy for Christmas and I'll go crazy next year. We're still trying to figure out if we'll have the kids or not and what parties - if any, we'll go to. Last year was a rough one. Lol I almost hurt this chick that couldn't understand to keep her mitts off my man. Dave didn't even know she existed lol. It was kind of funny to watch her try over and over and not get anywhere but frustrated. I didn't touch her just yelled and threatened a lot. But the nice thing is I haven't seen or heard of her since so can't complain, the other ladies there said that they've had issues with her too. Hopefully this year will go with no problems. Keeping the fingers crossed. I've been a good girl this year so hope Karma will smile on me.

One thing I do wish we could do is go out east to like Boston and the old English towns up in that area. My dad said they are way awesome to be around on Halloween. Maybe next year. One thing I do think I could do this year though is get my brothers and maybe my sisters to come take some Halloween pictures. My friend Jenny and Tiffany are way good at makeup and Tiffany is a great photographer as she has proven with my family pictures. I think it'd be fun to get them all together and get dressed as vampires or witches and take some pictures at dusk. That would be way cool. I'll have to run it by them and find out.

Goals!

So today I saw Sports Illustrated Cheerleader of the Week and oh my talk about motivation! Her abs are the most amazing thing I've ever seen!
I'm definitely working more towards what I want to be. I know that I love my long hair. I do need to start trying to master the "ratting" technique, It will give me some volume. I'm going to keep it at this lighter blond color, I really like it. I'm definitely playing with colors but with the addition of my new tattoo I'm quickly becoming attached to blue. I'm still going to have to work with the make up but I'm at least headed in the right direction.
I got some weights tonight so that I can work more with weights. I need to really work my arms... get my arms nice and strong. And I need to start running or walking... I got this magazine that has some way good healthy easy tips on beating the belly bulge. So I'm going to be working more towards eating better and working those arms!

One way good tip is to watch yourself in a mirror when you workout. I know it sounds retarded but if you are watching yourself you can see your movements making sure that you are working the right muscles and making the correct movements.

Life's unpredictable....

I've been thinking a lot these past couple days.... Life has thrown some very interesting curves.

First someone I didn't know very well, but thought I knew at least a little bit, ended up being involved in some very bad things. I really liked the guy, he was a very amiable person. Now he's in prison for at least 10 years. Granted once you hear someone has been sent to prison you automatically think "oh that person is bad" and "how could I not have seen this"? However just because he was convicted doesn't mean that it may have been done on purpose. You never know though. I've thought about going and visiting, but as I'm not a close friend - or at least what I consider to be a close friend, I can't help but wonder will it be awkward? Would he want me to visit? If I go should I go with others that he knows? Just not sure on that one.

The other day started out with getting off a 15 hour shift and I met up with Dave on his way to work so that I could see him. As we're standing there we realize there are breaks in the front driver tire. It was flat by lunch. The tires we have are a little big for the truck. The tires we need we have 2 of them. Dave believes that the reason the tires blew last time is that the rim is bent. So we need 2 new rims 2 new tires and then mounted and put on the truck. So that's going to be almost $300..... plus we still need to fix the car... I know right? Nothing seems to want to settle down.

So I go home get some sleep and then as I go about my day I head to work. First there was an accident that had two 4x4 trucks with horse trailers involved, so traffic was bad getting onto 215. Then as I'm coming over the bridge a semi stops right in the middle of the street. So we all slow and move around them, then as traffic is starting to pick up speed I witness an accident involving a semi and a small car. The girls in the car couldn't of been much older than 16... They looked young. Luckily they were OK, but it could've been so much worse. Makes me remember the two I was in and how lucky I was. Angels are watching... I hope those girls take it as a good lesson and don't end up in another one.

So it's raining outside now and I absolutely love the rain. Butch on the other hand does not. He is scared of thunder I think. He won't go outside and he will hide in the house even if he has to use the bathroom rather than go outside during a thunder storm. The other day I was in the shower and I heard the door open. Now I'm thinking that it is Bynx because he loves to sit on the edge of the tub while I'm showering and play in the water. Instead it's Butch and he just jumps right in with me. No hesitation. I think that he heard some thunder and came to find me and when he couldn't hear it over the sound of the shower he jumped right in. He stayed in the tub til Dave got home. He's a nut that one.

Two of my friends have lost their jobs this past week. And looking on facebook there are several others that have lost theirs as well and are looking for jobs. Its weird how everyone is saying that the job market is doing better, but yet it appears to be getting worse. Thank God for mine and Dave's jobs. Granted nothing is guaranteed, but we both work hard and put forth a 100% effort so that we are appreciated and needed. I work as hard as I can to make sure they need me. We are truly blessed for that.

To help with my friends, Monday I'm taking Danielle with me around Layton to get as many applications as possible. I've printed out her resume so she can hand them out, but this is also good in that I can get some applications for myself and Misty. Misty has been looking and putting in applications but nothing has come of it yet. I am wanting a part time job so that I can save up to obviously fix the cars, but Christmas is coming up and with the 2 kids we need to make sure we can afford Christmas. Plus we're behind on the bills. So some extreme restraint and hard work and I think if I can get a part time job that can help get caught up and help with Christmas. The OT shifts at work are few the next quarter because they are hiring permanent weekend customer service managers, so as I am the bottom of the pecking line I've only got a few.

I'm weird in that I am always stressed out lately because of finances. I always have been but owing so much to so many and being behind while we're trying to fix our credit so that we can get our house is hard. Thankfully everyone has been really nice to work with thus far, but we still let them know we are working on it. You never know when their patience might run out. I'm hoping to turn my car in and get a Dodge Charger... But I'm not sure if that is even possible. So maybe its better to spend the money to fix it and just keep praying that things will work out. Granted we have been through worse, but we have other things we want to do besides pay bills. We want to go to Disney Land in 3 summers when Brad and Breken are old enough, and next year I'll have a god baby in West Virginia I need to go see.... Hard work is all its going to take. Thank god I have Dave with me. He's my rock and is always there to give me support when I need it. I love him so much.

Safety and Security

I bought the latest edition of Cosmo today causeI saw Megan Fox on it. Yep I admit it that's why I got it. However one of the many perks of this magazine is that they always have a true crime story that comes with some very helpful hints. Always starts out with the girls story of what happened to her and what she did and if she's gotten justice at all.

This month's story was about a guy that dressed as a police officer to kidnap and ultimately kill girls after a horrible night of rape. This girl was lucky enough to escape before any major damage occurred, but it brought out a good point - what officials can we trust.

As usual there were some helpful hints at the end of the article. One thing you can always do to verify if the officer is legit is to call 911 and ask the dispatcher. Its mandatory that the officer has to call in to let dispatch know where they are at and what they are doing. That's why traffic stops always take so long lol.

Also take some helpful hints and try to famliarize yourself with ways to defend yourself. Like take an educational class. One thing you can do is be aware of your surroundings. Look and walk like you know where your going. Use your keys like wolverine fangs and keep them between your fingers. Don't wear overalls with a ponytail, also look into self defense courses and familarize your self with any area you'll need to be in at night during the daylight hours. Any place will look different at night than in the day. A slight shadow during the day is a dark pit at night. Flashlights are always helpfull to have. And don't be afraid to be loud so people know your there.

Who am I?

I've always been obsessed with pictures. Now that I have some friends that are amazingly talented Photographer's I have the ability to start my own portfolio... even though its just for fun. I always see these georgous girls that look amazing and I love their outfits.

My friend Misty has quite a few different photo shoots so I asked her where she got all of her amazingly cute outfits. She said they were just things she had laying around. Course she is like tiny and she has these huge boobs so her figure is amazing. I'm working on mine. Been taking the green tea pills and they are doing wonders. Now if I can actually get the self control to get up and fine tune mine I'd be awesome. That's my goal anyways. I've recently thought about maybe trying belly dancing. Dancers have amazing bodies.

Then I look at Amelia. She has the most amazing skin tone i've ever seen. Its like she's always been tan! lol Course my name is Casper.... But hopefully during the winter I'll be able to tan and get some kinda color. If anyone has a good suggestion for a lotion i'd love it. I have tattoos please keep in mind.

There are just a few things I still need help with. First off red bumps when you shave! And something to help with the dry skin. I have the worst razor burn... especially on my shins. So if anyone knows something to help with either that'd be awesome.

Then there is my style... goodness my closet goes every which way you can't see a style. I'm very much the tomboy, however I love looking nice as well. I've western and I love my boots. So with that I need to have long pants. I've never been a shorts kinda person. I figure the only one that needs to see my legs is me... and Dave. ;) I'm also into the punk rock type too though.. Just hard to incorporate it all.

Goals for summer at least. I want to be able to take cute pictures in my bikini and other outfits with being proud to show off my body and the hard work I'm trying to put in it....

Oh and if anyone can teach me about makeup that'd be awesome too... Lets face it I need some help. lol

Girls Weekend!

It was a fantastic weekend this weekend. Started out kinda sad with Dave leaving, but he wanted to go hang with friends and get one good fish in before the season ends. I missed him lots. So after that I went to get my new tattoo.

First it started off going to go on my calf, but after a discussion on the background we decided my arm would be a better place. Go with a haunted house and graveyard with a moon. So we're starting off with just him and then as I'm able to afford it we'll add on to him.
After that Misty accompanied me to my Future sister-in-law's "Slumber Party". It was fun and I got to spend some time with Summer, and I got to book my own party! It's been very important to me to get to know Dave's family. Plus they are very awesome people so it makes it easy. Very loving and they care a lot about the family they have. I'm lucky to have them.

Well while I was getting all Inked up, Sarah, Misty, and I decided that we needed a girls day. I remembered that my mom had given me tickets for Lagoon and that they were going to expire soon if I didn't use them. So we deicided to go.
The only thing that we wanted to make sure we did was to get our pictures done in that old western way. My sisters and mom have tons of those cool pictures and I've wanted one for a long time. So the girls pitched in and we got our "Floosey pictures". They turned out amazing.
Then to top it off I was able to go see my cousin Ashley before she sets off home in California. Spent the evening watching Chess in concert. Not to bad, an intersting rendition but I loved Josh Groban and Adam Pascal. Idena Menzel sadly dissappointed. I was really not impressed.
Then today my baby got home from his fishing expedition. Said he caught a few fishes so that's good. He wanted to catch more before the season ended, and Butch had a good time. They both passed out the second they got in the door, good thing they had today to relax.
So now we're looking forward to family pictures with the kids next Saturday and then the weekend after that will be the Biesinger's 20th anniversary. Lots to do this month.
